The process began with an informal interview, followed by a technical test. Next, a micro-project in Java using Spring and creating a REST API was assigned. This was followed by a competency interview and, finally, a technical interview. All interviews were conducted via Skype.
I only had the competence interview, focusing on my past and current projects. They asked me for a lot of information about the technologies used and so on.
They told me that I could not proceed to the technical test because I answered one question in a contradictory manner.
To clarify, they asked if I had used an automatic test environment. I said no, specifying that in my last project, my application was under automatic testing, but it was configured by the test team. I received feedback to fix bugs or improve some parameters, but I never used an automatic test environment directly. In my opinion, this is not a contradiction.
