I applied for the position and received an email inviting me to talk.

I had a phone call with HR. She asked about my experience with different cases that they found suitable for this role, and about the cases I resolve daily in my current job.

She mentioned that many people were on holiday and that I would receive an answer within 2-3 days.

A week passed, and I emailed her about any update.

After another week, I received an auto-reply stating, "We did not pick you for further consideration."

(I know it was an auto-reply because I had applied for another position at Booking previously and received the same message).

From our conversation, I understood that Booking is based on outdated technologies, and while some employees want to change, the majority do not.
