I recently joined Booking and have found a great place to work, with knowledgeable and collaborative colleagues.

There is a well-structured onboarding program. Tons of documentation are easy to find.

Very supportive and fast IT team.

Amazing office in Amsterdam; the food is decent and there is excellent coffee at the bars. Flexible hours and remote working are possible for 4 weeks a year.

The recruiting process took way too long – 3 months for 4 interviews. This was influenced by the re-org discussion that kicked off at the same time.

There were very varied and confusing job titles. Not all roles have a clear career path.

Some politics exist in the tech teams, particularly when deciding on tech solutions, where people become territorial. The management layer is quite thick.

Take radical decisions on consolidating the technical landscape. Reduce the management layer.
