Pros
  • Booking pays decently; you can find few companies paying more, with fewer offering the same work-life balance.

  • Booking is too chill; you can get that nice paycheck and a good performance rating by working just 2-3 focused hours a day.

  • Perks are amazing (best office, almost free food, Booking benefits, etc.).

  • You can easily find time to work on side gigs, your own ideas, or hobbies.

Cons
  • Forget growth. It’s almost impossible, especially with the present culture at Booking.

  • You can work hard, but that in the best case leads to exceeding expectations.

  • For promotion, you have to be in a team which the leadership thinks is top priority. Still, there is a long waitlist.

  • For learning, you must be in some tech-heavy or platforms team; otherwise, it's mostly CRUD operations, observability, and monitoring.

  • Decision-making is slow. No one talks about innovation. Even hackathons are bad.

  • Leadership at Booking is bad; most of them are non-technical folks who just understand numbers and know how to talk.
