This is the most talented engineering org I've been a part of. The CTO, Cos, has a solid grasp on the organization of teams and working culture such that we actually get a lot done and aren't blocked by bureaucracy and meetings. There is documentation for virtually everything, and my onboarding process was seamless. Everyone I've met and worked with at every level knows their stuff, and it's clear why Brex has been able to deliver on the company goals so quickly. My manager is awesome, and we have a plan for my professional growth. He's been actively finding me opportunities to stretch myself. Work-life balance is amazing; time off is encouraged, full remote means I make my schedule work for me, and I feel like I can actually disconnect each day. Comp and benefits are awesome, to boot. Leadership regularly connects with employees and actively takes feedback and implements changes.
Not really a "con" so much as a "be ready." If you're in engineering, the on-call rotation for your team is likely part of the job.
The interview process included several rounds: HR screening, a code challenge, a debugging challenge, system design, and a final alignment call. It was a very good assessment, apart from the multiple steps. All the interviewers were really nice and
Accessible and with a YouTube video to indicate what the process will be like on the Brex Br channel. It's a different process due to the debugging interview, but it's quite fun. It's worth doing.
The first step was a problem-solving task on CodeSignal within a 70-minute timeframe. I wanted to be honest, so I didn't try to find answers or algorithms on the internet. LeetCode-based problems basically don't tell anything about your lifetime expe
