Engineering Intern Interview Experience - Irvine, California

Process

First, I was called on my phone, and the hiring manager spoke with me for about 30 minutes.

Then, I was called for an on-site interview. I was interviewed by 8-9 people, both in San Diego and Irvine, for a whole day.

The questions were simple DSP questions. Some were very specific to exactly what they were working on, not general DSP questions. They were looking for more hands-on and practical people. I think Master's graduates would have been more suitable for their group. I believe they would have to read my resume more carefully.

Questions

What are FIR and IIR filters?

What is a causal system?

What is a linear system?

Why do we need low-pass (LP) filters?

Simple DSP questions.
