Cons: Total compensation is heavily based on company performance (stock price and bonus metrics). Yearly raises and promotions are monetarily very small. Promotion criteria is based almost entirely on how long you've been there rather than ability or results. Work from home policy isn't great. Mainframe software isn't very interesting and can get pretty tedious and boring (opinion).

Pros: Well paid and good technology.
