Process

They contacted me via email, having found my resume. I called them on my way home from a six-month contract job I had in Holland. We set up everything and I flew out there for an overnight visit. The interview was from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. all day; we did have lunch. I met with mostly managers from different groups. One person knew a lot of the people I did at Teradyne. I thought I did well, and the HR guy mentioned salary.

During lunch with the four people I was with, the leader of the team was very obnoxious and full of himself. He made fun of a couple of former interviewees in front of me and made an off-handed joke about how I'd better not be like that. He then went on to say his company was acquired by Broadcom and how great they were to have them. It was embarrassing, really, and I had no interest after that.

The HR guy never even called me with a denial, letter, or anything. I thought that was pretty unprofessional and surprising that people like these have a job at all.
