The company has become bloated. Perhaps senior management has become too "kind." Everyone there knows the annual performance review is a joke because anyone seldom loses their job, regardless of how ineffective their work performance may be. Is the cost increase proportional to revenue or profit growth over the years? Have you thought of the GE or Cisco model of letting go the bottom ten percentile just to keep the company lean and focused? Would you ever take this company private and run it like KKR would?
