Broadcom has very solid top management and great engineering.
Unfortunately, all levels of management below the C-level are just overgrown kids. They have no management skills and are the least business-mature team I've ever seen in a technology company.
Pay is far below the industry norm, and the culture expects you to work 70-hour weeks on top of it.
Broadcom is a company that suffers from its founder's cowboy, break-the-rules (and the law) attitude and will never be a good place to work. Avoid it if at all possible.
Hire professional middle and line management.
The overall interview process was good, but they are very bad at communication. After the interview, they don't have any updates and also they don't respond to your follow-up emails. Very bad experience.
I spent most of my time in the interview discussing my presentation and research. As for questions, they ranged from LDO design to general analog design questions, like op-amps and so on. I met with a team of 10 designers.
The interview process included one or two phone calls, followed by a few hours on-site. The on-site interview was mostly technical and involved a few different interviewers. I applied directly online.
