Great people to work with, but very product-focused
Amazingly talented people.
I always felt I was working with highly skilled experts in their field.
I worked with the Tanzu Labs team, coming from Pivotal Labs, and enjoyed the benefits of a great working culture and ethics.
This might not be consistent throughout the company, but there are many champions for a positive working culture.
Very focused on selling products, less so on delivering services.
Sales of the consultancy services provided by my team were primarily dependent on the sale of a product.
This seemed to lead to inefficiencies and waste in services teams. There were attempts to try and improve this balance, but I am not aware of any progress.
Do what works. Do the right thing. Be kind.
