Pros
  1. Exposure to cutting-edge technology. Can work with the latest EDA tools.

  2. Some very qualified colleagues.

  3. Management is quite good - appreciation (spot awards) is much better than other companies I have worked with.

  4. Project planning and tracking is excellent.

Cons
  1. Work can get very monotonous, since the same design/IP can go into multiple chips.
  2. The architecture team is not in India, so many times getting a bigger picture is difficult.
  3. The work-from-home option is sometimes not appreciated; it's very manager-dependent.
  4. HR is almost absent; hiring is the only HR functionality.
  5. RSUs are no longer attractive as they were a few years back.
Advice to Management

Engineers need a growth plan. Interaction with the architecture team must be increased. Motivation levels can be definitely boosted.
