Relatively free working environment.
Irvine is good. The food and environment there are terrific.
Too much hardware. It is probably not a good place for a software guy to work there.

Broadcom Interview Experiences
Senior Product Engineer
Interviewed with 10 product engineers/managers, all in one day. It was 45 minutes per session, with a 90-minute lunch interview with the hiring manager and a senior product engineer. For the first 9 interviewers, I felt that it went relatively well.
Hardware, Intern
The first phone interview focused on the resume, with no technical questions. One unexpected item was a project from 3 years ago, for which I was not well prepared. The Irvine site prefers local residents. I am now waiting for the on-site schedule. T

Very long interview. Four managers and one director participated in a three-hour-long interview. There were very few technical questions. The questions covered CMOS diagrams and logic.
