Broadcom is a technology firm that places value on its engineers. There is the opportunity to work with some of the brightest minds in the industry. The compensation is on par with other semiconductor firms, and the company provides equity compensation in the form of stock options and restricted stock units (RSUs).
The company has grown substantially in the past few years. The previous feel of a small start-up company is being lost. With over 6,000 employees, Broadcom feels like a big company now. The disadvantages of this are that tasks are more specialized, which comes at the expense of skill development.
