Phone Round

The interview featured one of those questions that's pretty hard but also cannot be solved during an interview unless you had seen it before. I was able to solve the question with the interviewer's help, using a less optimal method. After discussion, I was also able to code the actual method, but not to the point that it runs. While I was surprised and disappointed at the choice of interview question, what I did like was that the interviewer was polite, kind, and helpful. Even though he asked a question that I don't agree tests a candidate's coding ability, his demeanor in our interactions was not condescending about the fact that I could not solve it independently.

Similar to the LeetCode 3Sum question, but a harder version. The solution to the 3Sum question is part of the larger solution.
