Free food. Good tech. High ownership.
Sink or swim.
You have to have a strong mental frame and not let them gaslight you.
They will subtly discriminate against you and blatantly show favouritism towards Mainland Chinese.
If you intend to join, make sure to suss them out during the interviews. If they cannot speak a lick of English, then be very wary, because your experience will not be good if the bulk of your team is in Mainland, even if you are half-proficient in Chinese.
On top of being good at your job, you may have to bootlick to survive.
Everything went fine and fast. The tasks were easy. All tasks were from LeetCode or LeetCode-like platforms. I liked the interviewers; they were fine and talked nicely. They found my previous experience interesting.
The process was straightforward, with clear communication from the recruiter throughout each stage. The interview questions were standard and relevant to the position. Overall, a decent interaction and a well-structured interview experience.
The process took two weeks. The typical interview process involves submitting an application, passing an initial recruiter phone screen, and a technical round that is followed by an onsite or panel interview focused on system design and cultural fit
