The interviewer firstly asked me about my personal background and projects I had done. Then, he asked me to solve an algorithm problem. After seeing that I did not do well on that problem, he hurriedly wrapped up the interview.

Absolute nonsense. The inexperienced interviewer asked weird questions. The interviewer also seemed extremely exhausted. This could be a good indication of their working culture (the interview was conducted at 2 PM local time).
