Engineering Manager Interview Experience - United States

Process

The interview process consists of 2 initial phone screens followed by 3 onsite rounds.

Communication from the recruiter is poor. Do not expect much information regarding the process or types of interviews. Recruiters often do not respond, and it was difficult to get a clear answer on what the team does, even by the end. Basic questions about the number of team members were also hard to get answered.

Coding is required for managers during the screening round, but it is not difficult.

About the Company: They build custom solutions for companies to predict or detect certain outcomes. These solutions are not scalable as a different one must be built for each company. One senior leader was sensitive to this topic, so tread carefully if you want to discuss it further.
