This might be the worst of the lot out there. Such an unprofessional interview process. They basically dragged it out to 2.5 months for no reason. The hiring manager was quite slow and felt he wasn't invested in the process. The recruiter seriously wasn't even responding to any email I sent. Seriously, you guys should not hire candidates if you don't respect candidates' time.

• Step 1 - HackerRank, which I breezed through
• Step 2 - Eng Manager round
  • General questions. Behavioral questions.
  • Felt like he had a question bank and was asking off of it
• Step 3 (2 Technicals + 1 System Design)
  • Nothing too difficult. Basic DSA. Wasn't difficult either.
  • But the system design wasn't like a typical system design. He randomly asked me to write some code rather than a discussion.
• Step 4 - Onsite
  • Met with Eng Manager again and someone else on the team. General Questions
• Step 5 - Reference Check
  • Seriously, I don't understand why this is needed at this phase. This basically ate up 2-3 weeks of my time. You have to schedule the time between your references and manager. This is straight pointless and I felt it could have been done later.

Finally, they mentioned they needed the CEO's approval before generating the offer letter, and that they were submitting my profile as the candidate. Two weeks were wasted again, only to finally say they were not moving forward.

This might be the worst experience I've had at a company. Please don't bank too much on the process here. I would strongly suggest that you take other interviews seriously over this one.
