Culture & morale in engineering has seemed to take a dive. Leadership has been mostly focused on hiring in the sales department. Engineers and PMs have been leaving engineering at a pretty high rate, and we're not replacing at nearly the same rate.
This results in more burden on remaining team members, which then results in more dissatisfaction and more people leaving.
