I applied for a backend developer position on the portal. The ad stated the work would be mainly in Java, but open to all language experience. Once I introduced myself and mentioned my main experience was in .NET, the recruiter simply concluded the interview, saying, "The possibility of passing the interview is pretty low since you don't have solid Java experience." Well, that's a fair reason if it was stated in the ad, but a bad one if the HR people don't hire based on the ad.
