I sent my CV and received an email from a recruiter an hour later. She suggested setting up a time to "have a chat". I prepared for an HR interview, but on the day, it turned out to be a technical pre-screening. I didn’t nail it; I wasn't prepared for it.

When I interviewed for Google, those two stages were separated. I understand that Canva needs to filter its candidates effectively, but the recruiter could have provided more information about the process beforehand. She could have shown more interest in me as a person and, overall, could have handled the situation much better.

I found another job a week later where the recruitment process didn’t make me feel like an idiot.
