From the interview process onwards, I get to work with some of the smartest, most engaged, most passionate people that I've ever had the privilege to work with. In any other company, this would sound like marketing fodder, but working at Canva really is that good.
The engineering quality is extremely high and results-driven. Everyone is encouraged to set ambitious goals and strive for them, but no one is watching over your shoulder. Everyone is expected to be self-motivated and on top of their own work. This means that you can work mostly however you want, as long as you are achieving results.
The whole company has high goals and aspirations. The office is beautiful with daily gourmet lunches, a wonderfully spoilt office dog, and a great atmosphere. The culture is ridiculously friendly and inclusive, and the management never fails to be approachable, even as the company grows.
The company is growing fast, and everyone is amazing. So, there are a lot of new names to learn!
Keep on keeping on. Never lose sight of what makes Canva great (which you won't, because you never stop talking about it!).
The process went smoothly overall; the interviewers were very nice. However, they only hire for specific teams, so if you take too long to prepare, the position might already be filled and no longer open to new candidates.
Overall, the interview process for some onsite rounds was very disjointed and unclear. The recruiter described some rounds to me to prepare me for the onsite, but in the end, those rounds were completely different from what was in the email and what
Initial chat with talent rep. 1 AI-assisted interview and then 4 rounds: * Behavioural * Code review * System design * Programming This took about 3 weeks in total. You'll get matched to random people who aren't really connected to the role you're
