I was interviewing for an Ab Initio developer position. I was initially told there would be two technical interview rounds. I worked very hard for this opportunity, having given a total of 30 interviews solely for Capgemini. I don't understand why I was rejected. One day, I was selected for Round 1. However, in Round 2, the panel member was so rude and seemed disinterested. It was clear from his demeanor that he didn't want to select any candidate. Despite this, I answered all his questions. Afterward, I received feedback that I was not selected.
I received another call from a recruiter, asking me to interview again. I gave my best and cleared L1 and L2 rounds. The HR team called me to discuss the package and other details. The next day, I was told there would be one more round. I questioned this, stating I was initially told there would only be two rounds. The recruiter explained it would be a client round. I could clearly see on LinkedIn that the panel member was a Capgemini employee, as his email ID was also listed there. However, I couldn't do anything as I didn't have an offer letter, so I accepted the interview.
The interview was very challenging. I managed to answer the Unix and SQL questions. Regarding Ab Initio, I must admit I didn't fully understand the questions and informed the interviewer. He was running out of time and didn't explain the questions much. I brought this up at the end. For the rest of the interview, I gave my 100%. I did not receive feedback from them.
I don't understand why Capgemini plays these hiring games. It seems they don't genuinely want to hire anyone, merely advertising their company. This is truly disheartening for candidates. I strongly advise against applying to Capgemini.
