Automation Tester Interview Experience - Bengaluru, Karnataka

Process

This was in Bangalore. It was a complete waste of time if you don't have a minimum of 4 years of experience, even with 8 years of total job experience. The recruiter said it would be face-to-face, but no, there was a written round for those with one year or less.

Again, a written round first, then they might consider you for a face-to-face, which I highly doubt. I have written automation test scripts and don't see the point of the programs they were asking. There was no compiler or machine, and the Capgemini employees hosting the interview did a very sloppy job. It felt like a kindergarten schoolyard.

"PLEASE FOLLOW THIS PERSON," someone said. There were no snacks, no proper seating, and clearly, the written round was designed to turn down less experienced folks.

Meanwhile, folks with 7 years of experience were having their face-to-face rounds, which were in the open, in a dark office. And, funnily enough, the interviewer's face was the compiler from where I could see.

I am happy I am not going to waste my time and energy with this company in the future.

But I am glad I attended this interview, since Capgemini can join TCS in being the worst company to be interviewed by. There are loads of other companies offering better packages and, shockingly, yes, shockingly, you can get interviewed remotely! And there is a compiler! You don't have to waste two hours traveling and waiting, and the recruiters are more honest.

Capgemini's recruitment team clearly doesn't put any effort whatsoever into helping candidates.

Questions

Write programs according to the whims of the recruiters. (Surprise, none of it will be useful in automation if you somehow get selected.)
