I was interviewed for a Big Data Developer position on February 9th, 2019, in Airoli. I was told there would be a single technical round and an HR round via email. However, I had two telephonic technical rounds and an HR round. My technical rounds were awesome, as I answered 90 percent of the questions correctly.

My HR round was conducted by a senior person who claimed he belonged to the Brand Management team and was interviewing me because there were too many candidates. We had a salary discussion, and finally, he asked me to submit all my documents to an email ID he provided. I submitted my documents the same day. Everything was okay up to this point.

I waited for a few days and inquired about my offer letter status twice. The third time, I received a response from HR with the email title "Selected for offer." In this email, I was asked to submit a few more details, which I did. I was hopeful that I would get an offer, but even after several follow-ups, there has been no response from their side to date.

I had often heard that Capgemini doesn't provide offers but never expected it would happen to me, despite giving such a strong interview. I am extremely disappointed with Capgemini as they wasted my time and gave me false hope.

If you don't intend to select a candidate, why are you even collecting their personal and employment documents?
