This is the most pathetic process I have ever seen. I received a call from HR to attend a single technical interview round, followed by a manager round. I cleared both.
Later, HR asked me again about my expected CTC. She then asked me to wait for 3-4 days, but for over two weeks, there was no update. Once I followed up with an email, she stated that my expected CTC was denied.
I then asked her how much they could offer. I agreed to that as well, and she again asked me to wait for another 3-4 days. However, the situation was the same. She didn't revert even after a week.
When I inquired again, she gave the same answer: my expected CTC was rejected. If you cannot offer the CTC, at least inform the candidate about the status.
