The HR communicated the primary skill set to be Hadoop, to which I responded saying that I know HDFS, MapReduce, and HBase, and I was eventually invited for the interview. But only after attending the interview, I got to know that it's for a project which needs Unix scripting skills and Hive experience. Very bad experience. I was asked questions for namesake in MapReduce, but was rejected saying they would keep my profile for other upcoming projects. Had the HR clearly apprised me about the actual requirement, I would have never wasted my time.
