Junior Java Developer Interview Experience - Dallas, Texas

Process

I was approached by a recruiter on LinkedIn who described the role and asked if I was interested. I forwarded my resume and was scheduled for an HR phone interview, which lasted about 15 minutes.

After that, HR set up an interview with the team manager (L1), where I was asked basic Java and SQL questions.

The next day, HR called and said they wanted to set up L2. I had the L2 technical round, which focused more deeply on Java and SQL. After L2, HR called to congratulate me and said I had cleared the rounds and an offer letter would be sent soon.

However, HR later mentioned that a VP round was still required. The VP round focused on the project I had worked on. After this final round, I received no updates for about a week. HR followed up saying they were still waiting on feedback.

After almost a month of waiting and several calls to HR, I was informed that I did not get the role.

It was disappointing to be initially congratulated and then rejected.
