Process

I received communication from Capgemini stating they were hiring OBIEE developers. I was asked to go to their office for an interview last Saturday, October 5th, 2013. My interview was scheduled for 9:30 a.m. I arrived and was given a token, then waited patiently.

It was 1 p.m., and I had still not been called. People around grew impatient. The entire process was completely disorganized. Some candidates were asked to leave for lunch and return. I approached the event manager, who told me my CV would be sent to the interviewer next and that I should wait. So, I waited.

I did not get my turn until 3 p.m., while people who arrived around 2 p.m. were sent for their interviews! I approached the HR again to ask if I could at least go for lunch. I was told not to go, as my turn would be next. I did not get my turn. I waited until 4 p.m., and then the HR said I could go for lunch and be back in 10 minutes. There was no place serving lunch nearby at that time. I grabbed a sandwich at CCD and returned in 10 minutes. I was told it would be a telephonic interview. When I returned, there was no HR available to connect me to the interviewer. In total, I had waited for seven hours for my interview. Around 4:30 p.m., the HR returned, and I had my technical interview (telephonic). It went well, and I passed the first round.

On October 8th, 2013, I received a call from an HR representative named Syed. He informed me that I had passed and would quickly conduct my HR round. We discussed my CTC, and we arrived at a figure that Capgemini would offer. He sent some documents, which I had to fill out and return. The same evening, I received a call from another person stating my second technical round was scheduled for October 9th! This was ridiculous. The HR had discussed my package, sent me forms/documents, and then someone called me for another interview round! I informed her that I had my HR round. She stated they were simply collecting information and documents from everyone.

Regardless, I had my second technical round. Afterward, I called the HR who had conducted my HR round. He explained there was a communication gap between them. He believed my second round was over and therefore conducted the HR round. I asked for feedback on my second technical round. He said he would check and get back to me. I never heard from him again. I sent emails to both HR representatives, but received no reply. This demonstrated an absolute lack of courtesy and professionalism.
