The first technical round was a virtual interview, which I cleared. I then received a call stating my technical round was cleared and that they would schedule an HR discussion.

The HR discussion happened the next day, where we discussed the expected CTC, among other things. They were not able to offer me exactly what I expected, but I eventually agreed to their terms.

After a few days, when I reached out to them asking about the offer letter, they scheduled another technical round, which was strange. Although my interview went well, they later stated that my feedback was negative. This was very disappointing.

It was clear they would not be able to offer what we had agreed upon, but they should have had the professional courtesy to explain the exact reasons.
