Extremely Unprofessional Organization.
It all started a month ago. I've gone through two technical rounds and one HR round. By the end of the rounds, I was told I was selected and needed to send all the required documents. The whole process involved salary negotiation, during which I was repeatedly asked about my joining timeline. I was ready to join as soon as I returned from my vacation in the north. They even called me during my travel to discuss these matters.
Two weeks passed with no progress. They sent me a Letter of Intent (LOI), and after all negotiation attempts, I finally accepted the offer. They then informed me that the offer approval was on hold by management and would be approved. During this period, whenever I called, either HR was on leave, the recruitment person was unavailable, or there was some other excuse designed to disappoint me.
HR once called me (after I sent an email) and mentioned that management would decide between internal utilization or an external resource, though they felt it should be approved. I question if they even consider what they say. On what basis do you conduct recruitment?
A month has passed on this complete process. Meanwhile, the recruitment person, who always sounds clueless and unaware of company activities, told me, "I don't know what is happening, but management has kept your profile on hold again." The day before, he had asked if I could join the following week, to which I agreed. In another 10 minutes, he called back with a sarcastic, "most believable excuse": "I just spoke to HR, she told me management rolled out a message throughout India a few minutes ago that all offers on hold or over budget should be withdrawn, which means we cannot release your offer."
At least find better excuses than those childish ones. You know how insensitively you are making your management sound to others.
IGATE or Capgemini, whoever you are, either get your roots stronger or stop being fake. You are playing with job seekers' expectations.
If you never intended to recruit, on what grounds do you even interview people? If you cannot afford someone, tell people you are a poor company and cannot offer that much. This is the most unprofessional organization I have ever encountered.
I will never refer anyone to this company.
How soon can you join?
