Senior Software Engineer Interview Experience - Bengaluru, India

September 1, 2016

Process

They said it was a scheduled interview, but more than 100 people were there. For filtering, they conducted an online exam. If you did not clear the online exam, they would still ask you to take up a technical discussion.

They only give preference to people with short notice periods. If you clear the technical rounds but do not have a short notice period, they will not prefer you.

I arrived at 10 AM but had a technical discussion by 4 PM after a long wait. I cleared the technical round, but the HR did not proceed because I had a one-and-a-half-month notice period.

They ask basic questions that you have mentioned in your resume.

Questions

  1. Difference between StringBuffer and StringBuilder?

  2. Difference between Comparator and Comparable interface?

  3. Collections: Set, Map, LinkedList

  4. In Hibernate: First-level and second-level cache?

  5. Spring flow

  6. What is an IOC container?
