I recently had an automation test engineer interview, and the questions were a little hard. Everything was questioned from advanced Selenium concepts, meaning no core Java or basic Selenium questions were asked. The questions were basically about how to automate a given scenario or process.

Pros: Collaborations with learning platforms like Udemy, Coursera, and Pluralsight are great for upskilling.
Cons: There are very few good opportunities for freshers. The bench period is high, and bench management is not efficient in allocating projects. It is not recommended to join for freshers, as they are currently not having good project opportunities.

Pros: Great management. It’s all project work, so work-life balance really depends on the client. Salary is definitely low for market value, but it’s a pretty chill atmosphere, and the company is always supporting upskilling, etc. Great first job to have out of college.
