The employee's interests and area of expertise are of least concern. We are asked to join any project even if we don't know a bit about it (e.g., even if you are an expert in Java, they will compel you to do a support project). The project managers will tell you different schemes to join their project, stating various benefits you get after joining the project. Once you fall for this, then you are done. They will assign various useless tasks for you to work on, and you can't even complain to anyone.
Please give employees some flexibility on which projects to choose, and take the reviews after joining a project, if we are satisfied with it or not.
