Working at Insider means churning out clickbait lists and 200-word puff pieces. Quality doesn't matter.
This varies a lot by vertical, but the section I wrote for had the most incompetent, dispassionate, and patronizing management I've ever worked with. Staff morale was so low that there were only two writers left on my team by the time I quit.
Insider exposed me to the absolute worst of the digital journalism landscape. I don't think I'll be returning to the industry.
