Pros

You could get time and space for self-learning if you're lucky. It really depends on how soon you get tagged to a project (out of thousands of freshers) and what kind of project you're working on.

Cons

Compensation is 25% less than the actual package during the training period (first 6 months).

Worst appraisal system for freshers. The intervals between appraisals are too long and far too few. It doesn't make a dent in your compensation. Your work is not properly recognized because of their pitiful and unfair rating system.

It is impractical for a hard-working fresher to stay in this organization for so long without any recognition, without any fair increments (forget about bonuses). Your skills would go to waste in this 0 growth potential organization.

Advice to Management

Please start treating freshers, or as you like to call them, "young professionals," fairly and with more respect.
