It's fine as long as you are tagged in a project. But once you are put on the bench for some reason, getting into a new project might be difficult.
And due to COVID, even the projects were less. Then the company will ask you to resign with a one-month notice period and three months of salary. If you manage to find a project in that period, you might somehow survive.
Though it's mostly because of COVID, and the bench strength had multiplied several times because of projects being ramped down.
Manage the bench strength better.
