Pros
  1. Good brand name in the IT & BPO industry
  2. Good salary at senior levels
  3. Good work-life balance, bonus payouts & stock options
  4. 10% of the senior management folks truly deserve to be where they are
Cons
  1. The primary objective of all (VP and below grade) employees is to get into "client billable" roles and then "simply park themselves inside those roles" with no desire to improve or innovate anything. They just earn their monthly salary and sit.

  2. The fundamental thought in the minds of (VP & below grade) employees is to find foreign projects & postings, and do sight-seeing trips to Europe and the USA.

  3. In the field of data science and analytics, the skill-set in India is abysmal. All those solutions and products and platforms listed on the web portal and talked about ad infinitum are just figments of imagination. The only analytics talent that CG India has today are a few dozen SAS programmers and (now) R/Python programmers. The number of employees who have even moderate skills on statistical analysis are so few that you can count them on your fingers.

Advice to Management

Who am I to give advice? It's for the company's seniors to introspect and course-correct. I wish them all the best!
