Very sad, but in reality, there is no work-life balance. They will force you to work on weekends, even if it's your week off. You can't escalate to higher management, as they are all part of the same team.
The structure needs to be changed. If my manager is my supervisor, how can he again be my N+1? And why are we forced to work on weekends, even on my week off? Hyderabad managers only favour girls. The reason Hyderabad management is losing projects is that they are not keeping good, skilled people. They have the same old employees who are outdated with knowledge. Good skilled people are leaving because of this. You cannot work or handle things alone if your teammates don't know the basics, and they have 7+ years of experience. Most projects have the same problem. The major thing is that managers need to be shuffled every 3 years to another project.
