The interview process involved several stages:
The recruiter was very helpful and pleasant.
The "power day" itself was a disaster. It was impersonal at best and hostile at worst. The interviewers were not invested at all. Nobody knew anything about me and didn't bother to ask. No outside references were allowed during the coding portions, and the interviewer was not helpful and at times judgmental. The platform used for the coding portion didn't even work properly, and the interviewer had no idea how to use or fix it. I am not sure how this process results in good hiring decisions.
Technical interview - systems design: Describe which tech you would use to solve a specific problem and how you would implement it.
Technical interview - coding assessment: Write code (with no outside help whatsoever) to accomplish a specific task.
Business case study: Describe your approach and methodology for problem solving in a specific business situation.
Behavioral interview: Answer questions and prompts such as "Describe a time when you disagreed with a coworker or manager and had to work through the disagreement."
