The first technical interview onsite was with a man who was extremely aggressive. He would not let me speak or answer questions and put words into my mouth. It was clear he did not have respect for women in technology.
He asked what I did in my current position. I said, "I write microservices in Go." He then said, "Oh, so you're not actually writing the microservices." I replied, "No, I just said I write the microservices," and he laughed.
I was interrupted about 10 times while trying to answer a simple question. It was hard not to think this was sexist behavior.
