Process

The interview was very easy if you are really experienced in the technology they are asking for. Showing off is going to pay off in this company, which I regret I didn't do.

First was the written test (Verbal, Math, and Behavioral), and it was easy. You will clear it if you get up to 50% correct, which I did, so I know for sure. The questions will be easier than the questions on shldirect.com. So if you do even 25% of the questions correctly here, you will definitely clear the actual questions.

Second was the telephonic interview, again completely based on experience. Questions would be like: Your major challenges? How many years of experience? Technology questions? Have you noticed any scenarios where automation wasn't feasible to do? Major challenges? How did you accomplish it? etc. It will be easy if you have really worked; you can handle it very easily.

Third, the big day:

  1. Behavioral: They will give you a PDF with all the behavioral questions they are going to ask at most. So don't panic at all. They are very specific about getting the answers in SAR format (if you did a little research on behavioral questions, then by now you know it already). By specific, I mean really, to the extent that they will be continuously writing everything whatever you say in their sheet. And what was annoying to me is they will often ask you to repeat again and again to fill their sheet. Anyways, just keep your answer to 2-3 minutes. Even pre-memorized answers are fine.

Technical: Oh my God! I haven't met such unprofessional people in my life. They were asking me personal questions. That was a complete NO NO to me. Totally turned me off. Hmmm... the round was very lengthy. Questions would be in such a manner that would scan you altogether. And they may ask you to even write code, which I personally feel is ridiculous for a senior position. I did it. The lunch is not good at their cafe :(

2nd Behavioral: These questions will be very specific to teamwork. Questions like: How will you handle two important things at a time? You know what I mean. Ask questions as many as possible. By asking questions, I remember not even one of the members who took my interview knew anything about my role . Even a fake candidate could clear this interview with flying colors if they have just OK communication skills and average confidence.

Attire for the interview: Format Suit + Light-colored Shirt + tie, etc. (not sure about women associates).

Relocation: They would offer just ~$5000, whereas other companies like my present one offer $20,000. Yes, you heard it right.

Why I declined the offer:

  1. Very low salary compared to other companies with the same skills.
  2. Very low relocation allowances.
  3. Bonus - which they try to entice you with and is very hard to get.
  4. Not an attractive signing bonus.
  5. Lack of enthusiasm in the people who interviewed.

Positive things were:

  1. Vacation time up to 3 weeks.
  2. They greet you very well.
  3. They arranged your travel for the interview very well.

But be very wise; these alone cannot make you accept the offer.

FINAL TIP: Be cool and prepare well. If I could do it, anybody can do it :)
