Capital One is not clear about their interview process. Despite taking an assessment of DevOps skills for the DevOps Manager role, the candidate is expected to write code using application programming languages that are not part of the DevOps role. While submitting the assessment, I raised this concern with the recruiting personnel, but I was told to submit the assessment by writing the code that I will never use to perform my DevOps Manager duties. My request to evaluate me on necessary DevOps skills went unheard. Capital One should revisit its recruitment process and evaluate a candidate based on job requirement skills.
