I was asked to do the coding assessment on the third-party website (CodeSignal), which was an awful experience. I had multiple technical issues during the session, such as constant prompts for a weak internet connection. To submit a question, I had to click multiple times to proceed.
Another nerve-wracking issue occurred when starting a new question: the cursor was a blinking block, preventing me from typing in the IDE. I had to try various keys or key combinations to get the blinking bar to appear so I could type. Each time, a random key would alter it. This cost me time on unnecessary troubleshooting instead of focusing on the problems.
