Process

The process began with a recruiter call, followed by a CodeSignal challenge featuring four questions of varying difficulty, from easy to medium. I only attempted two questions but was invited to the "Power Day."

The virtual on-site comprised four interviews:

  • Case Interview: This involved a coding question in Java, requiring me to discuss my thought process with the interviewer to arrive at a solution.
  • Systems Design: The focus was on designing a credit card payment system.
  • Behavioral Interview: This consisted of three "tell me a time..." questions.
  • Technical Challenge: This task involved counting prime numbers from 0 to n.

The recruiter was largely disconnected from the process. They were late to every phone call meeting and offered no apologies, stating that the company needed to recruit 300 candidates and that interviews often ran long.

As other interviewees have noted, communication was a significant barrier during the Power Day interviews. I struggled to understand the interviewers' accents and had to ask them to repeat questions several times. I recommend taking a notepad to jot down what you hear and then repeating it back to ensure comprehension.
