Pros: Solid pay and benefits, lots of different projects to work on. Everyone is very professional and kind, and the McLean campus is nice.

Cons: None that I can think of!

Pros: Work-life balance is still there, and there are many opportunities to grow.

Cons: The company is becoming more and more like a FAANG without FAANG pay, so things are cutthroat and hectic with little payoff.

Pros: Managers place great focus on not taking on extra hours and setting aside time for personal development and getting certifications. "You build it, you own it" work stream gives each team or cluster of teams a valuable product that they own the life-cycle of. Many interesting ways that the company is modernizing the data space, which is allowing for collaborations across teams that are not possible in traditional bank tech stacks. It was great with in-person team events and happy hours pre-COVID, and has continued with equivalent fun nights and meal credits while working remotely.

Cons: Some recurring tasks require engineers to take on weeks/months of red tape for things that only require a day of active time. So, there is often a story on the back burner that myself or a teammate is hopping back to, in between stories.
