The technical assessment on CodeSignal requires you to share your screen, microphone, and camera. It verifies you pass the recording requirements and is quite invasive.

The assessment consists of 4 LeetCode medium questions to be completed in 70 minutes.

The recruiter mentioned that no one ever finishes the CodeSignal assessment, and the pass/no-pass criteria lack a discernible pattern, making it seem arbitrary. I believe you need to get at least 3 questions completely correct.

Each question has 10 visible and 10 hidden tests, so you won't know which hidden tests you failed.

I suspected that the use of CodeSignal with all these extra requirements indicated a negative corporate or engineering culture, or even worse.
