Great work, colleagues. Seemingly old-fashioned upper management
Software Engineer • Former Employee
McLean, Virginia, United States
June 13, 2024
Pros: - Fantastic, intelligent engineers
- Solid benefits
- Great, immediate leadership
Cons: - Poor leadership and disconnect as you go further up the management chain.
- Seems to be falling behind in forcing a return to office, and chasing/forcing out people they hired remotely during the pandemic.
- Using "Quiet Firing/Layoff" practices to quietly downsize, while avoiding "layoffs" being publicized.

Great people company to work for
Software Engineer • Current Employee
September 27, 2021
Pros: I like the salary and benefits. The work culture is very inclusive, and peers have empathy for each other.
Cons: I like all I do here.

Good Balance, Bad Management Decisions
Software Engineer • Former Employee
San Francisco, California, United States
January 7, 2019
Pros: Good work/life balance, good work location, great separation benefits. It tries to practice what it preaches with regard to company values; that is, it is more ethical than most banks.
Cons: A decision was made to replace traditional QA with full-stack engineers, but funds for retraining were refused. This resulted in a lot of product knowledge being lost. They are not sure what they want to be in San Francisco. There are many layers of management. The home office is out of touch – the CEO doesn't even visit San Francisco.
