Pros: - Most of the people I work with regularly are very good, both technically and as people. - Very competitive salary and benefits. - Generally good hybrid in-office culture. Special days for things like free breakfast, or various events and celebrations.

Cons: - Stack ranking with forced distributions creates unnecessary competition, and not in a good way. It also depresses associate morale on a larger scale. - Many practices are more performative than substantive, in service of the "influence" competency. - For a company that claims to be a tech company, they are very stingy on the stock awards compared to other large tech companies. - Giving managers and Sr. managers more responsibility without the support or resources to implement. - Constant reorgs and rebrandings, often during the same year, so you have no idea which organization you're working for.

Pros: It's a mutually supportive corporate culture. It's a big company with a lot of complexity and inter-team dependencies, so you find yourself constantly asking questions and seeking answers. This is invariably well and helpfully received. Also, it's a company that takes diversity, inclusion, and belonging seriously.

Cons: The twice-yearly Performance Management rituals, in which we work to satisfy attrition targets by putting 10-15% of employees (depending on job level) on PIPs based on stack ranking—not necessarily on truly poor performance—are a huge drain on morale, especially for people leaders.

Pros: Work culture, people, and work are challenging and satisfying. The campus is fun to work at; I enjoy it every day (almost).

Cons: The review process is stressful. It could get pretty ugly.
